Performing under the moniker of HeLLa, Tosh Francis, is a Grenadian-American Dancehall Rapper. This Brooklyn native was surrounded by Dancehall music in his majority Caribbean neighborhood. As the youngest of six children, resources and opportunities were far and few in between. HeLLa chose the path of serving in the military. During his tour in Iraq, Dancehall was an outlet to an otherwise highly stressful environment.

Francis brings the heat! His delivery is as powerful and reminiscent of his influences including Bob Marley, Bounty Killer and Shabba Ranks. He serenades the ladies with the lyrical verbage of Bob Marley, the hard grit and delivery of Bounty Killer and the style and energy of Shabba Ranks. 

Early in his career, HeLLa’s music took him international with performances in Kwajalein and Dubai. While he favors making “gal tunes”, he also makes music that reflects the raw reality of where he grew up. HeLLa manages to create catchy music without sacrificing lyricism.
